Martindale-Hubbell has been taking the guess work out of evaluating lawyers for over 130 years. Martindale-Hubbell’s Lawyer Rating System evaluates lawyers and law firms based upon confidential opinions and interviews of fellow attorneys and judges. There are two components to each Martindale-Hubbell rating:

-The attorney’s legal ability rating
-Their general ethical standards rating

An “AV” rating reflects that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence. He or she has usually practiced law for many years and is recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity.

Over 83,000 attorneys are licensed to practice law in Florida, it can be difficult to choose the right one. However, only approximately 20% of these attorneys are “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
